The INSANITY Diaries

March 6th, 2016

8 Weeks of INSANITY Complete! I started this diary 8 weeks ago and I did it for a few reasons:

1 – I wanted something to keep ME motivated throughout the heavy winter months.  I committed to posting a video every day and I stuck to it! Knowing that I made a promise to myself to do this…and the fact that I made it public made it difficult to quit. Now I have 8 weeks worth of videos and journal entries that can keep me motivated for weeks to come!

2 – I wanted to motivate YOU! I know how hard it is to workout everyday, and you will see by these posts that it’s not always easy, but if I can do it…so can you. It’s a struggle for 90% of us to exercise regularly.

3 – I often quit things….So many times I’ve started things and haven’t stuck with them.  I don’t want to be like that any more. I wanted to find a way to work through the hard “I want to give up” times and get through to the other side.

So, now that I have completed these 8 weeks, I put together a little video that talks about why I love this program so much and how it worked for me! Hope you like it 🙂

OK, I’m going through 8 weeks of INSANITY with Shaun T.  6 days/week I’m going to do some type of INSANITY workout (either with Shaun T, or HIIT style that I designed on my own).

The goal is to film something 6 days/week and post it! I want to see how conditioned I can keep my body with just doing 30 – 60 minutes a day of these at home BeachBoday/Shaun T style workouts! Plus I want to motivate myself and try to keep you all motivated too! Lots of ups and downs will be had I’m sure…but doing this should help keep me accountable and will help get me through the tougher times.

What’s different about this time is that:

1 – I’m part of an online accountability group (as coach now) and I want to make sure that I help everyone stay motivated and more importantly that I can stay motivated myself. If I post about this it, it helps me and I hope it helps everyone else starting the program.

2 – I’m going to try and post every day for the next 8 weeks. Videos, photos and a mini blog about how it went, what was hard and generally everything else that seems important!
